Description
A well graded and stepped walking track takes you down to a viewing platform that looks out to this magnificent tiered waterfall.
At the waterfall, a section of track has eroded below the lookout. A barrier is in place and visitors should not progress past it.
These falls are 11 km from the Mangaotaki Walk, which is also on Mangaotaki Rd.
Getting there
Travel south from Te Kuiti on SH3 until you reach Piopio, then turn right onto Kaka St. After 1 km turn left into Mangaotaki Rd and follow this for 19 km to the start of the track. The car park and track entrance is on the right.
