Old Man Hut to Slaty Hut
Old Man Hut: 5 hr (10 km)
This section between Old Man Hut and Slaty Hut is predominantly above the tree line and is marked with poles. Travel along the main summit ridge to the sign posted junction of Old Man Peak (1514 m). The track then reaches Ada Flat (1420 m) and a forested saddle before following the poles again to Slaty Peak (1544 m) and sidling onto Slaty Hut.
