Know before you go
Didymo is present in Lake Monowai and the Waiau River, but is not currently in the pristine Borland Burn, Green Lake or Grebe River.
Visitors should take precautions to prevent the spread of didymo when swimming/fishing/packrafting.
Do not take water from these areas.
