Getting there
The Kauritataihi Hut is in the central part of the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park, about 1.5 hours south from the junction of Thompsons Track and the North South Track. A marked and signposted track leaves the North South track and leads to the hut.
The track to this hut should only be attempted by experienced trampers. There is a section which requires the use of a rope to assist climbing.
