Getting there
Cookies Hut is 4 hours 30 minutes from a small car park on Double Hill Run Road. Leave SH72 and turn on to Blackford Road, which becomes Double Hill Run Road.
Carparking and track access is on the true right of Redcliffe Stream.
Redcliffe Stream Scenic Reserve and Hakatere Conservation Park are accessed via private property – keep to the marked easement.
This is a backcountry hut with no DOC track access. You will need to plan your route and navigate yourself, using aids like a map, compass and GPS. Learn navigation skills.
