About this hunting block
Hunt red deer and pigs in the tussock grasslands of Kakanui Conservation Area.
General Information
This block is part of the Kakanui Conservation Area, which spans part of the Kakanui Range between the Kakanui Peak and the Mt Kobbler.
A significant amount of the area is covered in tussock grasslands, while there is also exposed rock and scree. The terrain is steep.
Access
Helicopter access is allowed at the site marked by pink stars. Helicopter access points (JPG, 354K)
Other access is by negotiation with neighbouring landowners as there is no formal access.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed in this block with a hunting permit. If accessing the block over private land, you must have landholder permission to take your dog.
