About this hunting block
You can hunt red deer and goats in the Croydon Bush Scenic Reserve.
The Croydon Bush Scenic Reserve is located 7kms northwest of Gore and covers approximately 874 ha. A series of parallel steep northwest ridges are dissected by several streams with tussock, scrub and podocarp forest remnants. There are several tracks, a look out and picnic area.
Access
Follow Kingdom Road or Reaby Road north of Gore from SH94. Side roads off these provide access.
In the interests of public safety, do not use Dolamore Park or the DOC walking tracks leading from Dolamore to access this hunting block. Dolamore Park is a busy camping and day visitor area with a very popular children's playground.

Dogs
- Dogs must be registered and are not permitted in hut
- When crossing private land, dogs are to be on a leash until well into forest and kept under control.
- DOC must be notified regarding missing or lost dogs on conservation land.
Huts
There are no DOC huts available.
Additional information
If possuming, a permit must be obtained by visiting the DOC Murihiku Office in Invercargill.
