A 364 hectare hunting area in the Whanganui district.
There are good numbers of red deer, fallow deer and pigs in this area.

This area is medium to steep papa-rock country.

Access is by foot only.

Dogs
To hunt with dogs, you need a separate permit. All dogs must be avian avoidance certified, and you must show their certificate at the Whanganui Office before getting the permit.

No hunting from the Mangapurua or Kaiwhakauka Tracks or within 50 metres of them.
