Getting there
South of Ōpōtiki, turn off SH2 into Otara Rd. Follow to Te Waiti stream confluence, turn right and follow for 4 km. Well sign posted.
Access is via a gravel road with a low ford to cross. The track down to the campsite is steep and rough.
The campsite is only accessible by 4WD drive vehicles. The access road has sustained a lot of storm damage.
